Tablet PC Integration

BodyTrans Tablet Edition presents several exciting features that expose the unique functionality provided by the Tablet PC platform. The Training Log, Cardio Log, Sleep Log, and Body Metrics area feature a custom BodyTrans tablet input panel. This input panel allows you to enter your data without requiring you to write or tap anywhere but the input panel. All navigation and data entry can be performed in this docked area of the screen.  Note: The Tablet Edition of BodyTrans is included as an integrated part of BodyTrans and is not available as a separate product.

The Training Log on the Tablet PC

BodyTrans Tablet Input Panel

This custom input panel is permanently docked at the bottom of the log.  All log entry and grid navigation can be achieved here.

Give it a try!  The interface is extremely intuitive and easy to use.

Note: Access to the standard Tablet PC Input Panel provided by the operating system is still available to you if you prefer that method of data entry.  You will notice that the "floating icon" for the input panel will still appear over the grid area when it is in data entry mode.

The Body Metrics screen on the Tablet PC

The BodyTrans custom input panel on the Body Metrics screen functions just like the input panel on the logs except your data entry and navigation control input into the textboxes on this screen instead of the grid.  This is by design.  Since the grid on this screen is read-only, the textboxes are data entry points.

Here again in the Body Metrics screen, access to the standard Tablet PC Input Panel provided by the operating system is still available to you if you prefer that method of data entry.

Diary on the Tablet

The BodyTrans diary on the Tablet PC allows you to let your creativity flow when making entries.  It accepts both typed text and ink entry from your tablet pen.

BodyTrans Recipes on the Tablet

The BodyTrans Recipes screen on the Tablet PC provides you with the option of writing your recipe directions naturally with your tablet pen.  After you have finished writing, your directions are automatically recognized and converted to typed text.

Note:  Some users like this type of data entry and others dislike it.  Consequently, the floating icon for the standard Tablet PC Input Panel is available so that the input panel can be used as an alternate to delayed ink recognition data entry.

Supported Gestures

If you've used the Tablet PC for any length of time, you probably have realized that gestures can come in real handy.  Gestures provide a way for users to perform tasks or actions on a computer by using the natural movements that are associated with pen and paper.

BodyTrans supports the standard Windows XP Tablet PC Edition gestures in addition to a few application specific gestures.
